In our 120th year it gives me great pleasure to welcome Scott Sadler our new General Manager for Granville & Districts Soccer Football Associations.
We have taken our time to find the best candidate and now we are confident we have found him.
Professionally Scott worked in the health and fitness industry for 20+ years gaining a wealth of knowledge and understanding of how to successfully impact People/Member engagement, grow a membership base and operate a lean and positive bottom line. Most recently spending 8 years with Fitness First Australia and the last 3 years operating and managing their flagship club Fitness First Bond Street Platinum located in the heart of the Sydney CBD. Aptly named the Beast of Bond Street because of its sheer size and volume, if you imagine 3 football pitches, that’s the size of the club over 3 levels, home to 70+ Group Fitness Instructors and 50+ Personal Trainers, servicing up to 13,500 visits Monday to Friday.
Scott hits the ground running as he brings a solid understanding to the role having just served 3 years as President of the Eastern Suburbs Football Association (ESFA). He is also a loyal club member of 9 seasons with Dunbar Rovers FC where he held a variety of roles; President, Director of Operations, Event and Fundraising Manager, and more recently, he is an ambassador for Women’s Football, having worked his way up the Coaching ladder for the past 4 seasons as Coach for All Age Women’s Divisions 5, 3, 2 and now Women’s Championship Coach.
His passion is Football and developing others to succeed both professionally and personally and with this purpose in mind, Scott hopes to lend his experiences and expertise to all those that need him in the Association. His first port of call is to touch base with all Club Presidents and Boards to introduce himself, with the aim of understanding what is happening at the coal face in club land, finding out the good the bad and ugly, what your club goals are and how the Association can help support them.
Again please join me in welcoming Scott to the Association and if you wish to reach out and connect with him you can do so via:
Or you can mention you are also a Liverpool FC fan, and he will promise “you will never walk alone!”
